Showell Volunteer Fire Department : EMS Response

The Showell Volunteer Fire Department is happy to announce the formation of a EMS division on January 1st 2009. Over the years our neighboring company’s have graciously provided EMS coverage in our fire district, however due to the increase in population of Worcester county we have decided that it is now in the interest of our department and our community to provide EMS service.

As a courtesy to our residents we are providing a public information meeting at the fire house to answer any questions and/or concerns and give an overview of our service on Wednesday November 19th at 7pm. Lite refreshments will be provided. Our street address is:11620 Worcester Hwy, located just south of Pitts road.

Like other departments in Worcester county we will be instituting an EMS Family Plan, at $40.00 per year, the plan will cover any out of pocket expense that could be incurred by you. Whenever a patient is transported, we file an insurance claim or send a bill. Family Plan participants’ insurance companies are billed BUT your family plan membership will cover any deductible, co-payment, balances, or non-covered claims... the cost to you during the entire year is only the cost of the Family Plan membership.
