The Showell Vol. Fire Dept will be distributing its fund raising mailer in Mid July, however this year the department has decided to emphasize smoke detectors after a house fire that claimed two children on Peerless Road in January. It is not certain if a working smoke detector in this situation would have saved these two childern, but it could have made all the difference. What can you do to protect your loved ones? INSTALL AND TEST SMOKE DETECTORS!
