Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At approximately 1617 hours, Showell was alerted to 113 and 589 on the bypass for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Units arrived on scene to find a car through the guardrail into a tree. A hose-line was pulled from engine 803 since the car was smoking upon arrival. Trooper 4 was alerted with a Priority 2 patient and was asked to land on the roadway. Members on scene cut the excess parts of the guardrail off for State Highway vehicles. Once Trooper 4 landed, crews transported the patient into the helicopter where the patient was transported to Shock Trauma. Units on scene: Engine 803, Engine 804, Rescue 8, and 800 Paramedic-1
